Vaughn Ray Gentry, Sr. November 23, 1943 - April 2, 2017 Mr. Vaughn Ray Gentry was born in Denison, Texas on November 23, 1943 to Ennis and Shanova Harris Gentry. He attended Denison schools and graduated from Terrell High School Vaughn Ray was preceded in death by his parents Ennis and Shanova Gentry, brother, Walter Gentry and sister; Lovice Kelly along with his children ,Tjuana, Vaughn Ray, Jr., Tyrian and 1 great-grandson; Jaquay Anderson.

Mr.Gentry married the love of his life, Gwendolyn Faye Hudson on April 17, 1968 and raised a large and extended family of children; Roxanne Gentry and Steffaney Gentry both of Austin, TX, Vaughn Ray Bell of Denison, TX, Velvie Sommers of Dallas, TX and Deana Bell of Denison, TX. 2 brothers; Lawrence and Ennis Gentry, and 3 sisters; Joyce Dehorney, Nannie Mae Avery and Lavada Wimbush.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Having known the Lord and reading his Bible avidly, his passion was the love of fishing and going to Choctaw. He turned in his fishing poles for a crown as he closed his eyes to this world and went to be God on April 2, 2017.
