DENISON -
Sheryl Moore, age 57, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, April 11, 2008 at
her home in Denison.
Sheryl married Curtis Moore and was blessed with three children although she
wanted to have 12. She graduated from Senior High School and
Grayson
County
College
where she received her LVN license. She worked at
Texoma
Specialty
Care
Center as
a charge nurse at night until her health failed. She had the patience of
Job and loved her work, residents and co-workers dearly; she was known as
the "nice one".
Sheryl was a member of Alpha and Omega Community Baptist Church under the
direction of her cousin, Rev. James R. Thorne. Sheryl loved the Lord and
constantly confessed her faith and displayed it. She was a member of the
choir, finance committee and chairperson for the pastor and wife's
appreciation. She was also a representative for breast cancer patients,
visiting with them and inspiring them after surgery. Sheryl was a loving mother
to many, a great sister and a friend like no other. She will be greatly
missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sheryl is survived by a daughter, Sherita Mack;
sons, Curtis Moore, Meccsha Moore and a special
son, Jamie Fennell (nephew), the joy of her life; her grandchildren, Shaylon and Shayla Moore, Tia McRee, Tahj and Curtis Moore III; brother, Dwayne Fennell of
Los Angeles, Calif.; sisters, Janice Lewis, Marva Gordon and Rose Jackson
of Denison; special friend, Paul Elby; and a host
of relatives and friends.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Billye
Fennell Wilson and stepfather, Walter Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 19, 2008 at
the First
Baptist
Church,
601
W. Woodard St. in
Denison.
Family night will be Friday, from 7 -8 p.m. at the Alpha and Omega
Community Baptist Church, 401 E. Sears St. Visitation will be at Alpha and
Omega on Friday from 1 p.m. -8 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pipkin
