Charles A. Clark DENISON — Charles A. Clark entered this world January 1, 1937 in Denison, Texas. He was the second born child of Jodie M. Clark and Ruth McKnight Clark. Both parents preceded him in death. He was a graduate of the Class of 1955 Terrell High School.

After graduating high school, he later joined the United States Navy and became a Chief Petty Officer. Because of his achievements in baseball while playing for the Navy, he was honored by having a Baseball Stadium in Tokyo, Japan “Clarkfield” named after him. Charles, known as “Chilli Bowl and later called Chilli Bo,” was a carpenter by trade but he had a great love for hunting and fishing. He was affectionately called the “Professor” or “Webster” cause he knew EVERYTHING. And I do mean Everything!! He always tested the kids for knowledge over the years every time they came to visit. He quite often let them know how dumb they were and we all laughed at him.

Charles took his final journey out of this world on June 19, 2007 and joined his mom whom he dearly loved. He is at peace now with mom. He was always a mama’s boy. There are memories of him with his children and with his brothers and sisters that will never be forgotten. He left all of us some fun memories. He will be greatly missed and he was greatly loved by all the family and by many of his friends. He leaves behind many loved ones.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23 in Bratcher Funeral Chapel in Denison with the Rev. Michael Braxton officiating.
